Katy Perry has dismissed rumours she is pregnant by announcing to the world that she has got her period.
The 25-year-old singer - who recently became engaged to Russell Brand - fuelled speculation that she was expecting by cooing over baby booties with the comedian earlier this week at a children’s shoe shop.
But Katy, who was pictured going to the gym in LA wearing a Be Afraid crop top which showed off her flat stomach on Wednesday, wrote on Twitter: “You’re gonna make me cry, maybe that’s my period though - that’s right I’m bleeding - better luck next month peeps.”
The I Kissed A Girl singer began dating Russell, 34, last November and they confirmed they were engaged at New Year, while on a romantic holiday in India.
When reports Katy was pregnant began to emerge she tweeted Russell: “Hey I heard you’re prego-ed.”
