The I Kissed a Girl singer is splashing the cash for her funnyman lover on their first February 14 together.
Russell Brand was in for an expensive Valentine’s surprise next week, but fiancée Katy Perry, 25, has revealed she’s buying him a car. But it’s not just any costly customised car, she’s ordered him a purple Bentley Brooklands from a fancy dealership in Newport Beach, California.
The flash car – costing almost half a million pounds – is likely to draw even more attention to the eye-catching comedian.
A source told the Daily Star: “Katy really thought about this. Originally she was planning to buy him an Aston Martin but changed her mind when he spotted an 007 number plate in West Hollywood. She said James Bond wannabes were naff.”

Katy was inspired by stories of the legendary Who drummer Keith Moon who had a purple Rolls Royce.

And to make matters worse, Katy had managed to convince Russell, 34, that they weren’t going to make extravagant gestures to celebrate the day of love.

The source added: “Katy has tricked him into thinking they’re not bothering with presents.”

So her intended is planning a simple romantic meal with a serenade from a Mediterranean guitarist.

It looks like the cat’s out of the bag now and the pair will have to go back to the drawing board for a new surprise.

Only last week Katy revealed how she found out on the internet that her man was planning to pop the question before he got down on one skinny knee.

She said: “Unfortunately, I still Google myself sometimes. I saw it on Google alerts. I’m going to be honest!”
